On Tuesday October 23rd at about 6:10pm, MR 114 in truck 701 was traveling westbound on I-70 near Colorado Mills, as you can see in the video, a white SUV cut our operator off, when the vehicles collided his steering was immediately thrust to the right and broke. MR 114 attempted to steer back to the left but couldn’t due to the way the SUV collided with our truck. The truck was out of control, veering to the right, went down an embankment and rolled three and half times, coming to a rest on its passenger side, against a tree. MR 114 was able to self-extricate and sustained only minor injuries. Several other vehicles were involved and all other injuries were also minor. Law enforcement found the driver of the SUV at fault and cleared MR 114 of any wrongdoing. Everyone involved was very blessed to have sustained only minor injuries for such a major incident. A reminder to look before changing lanes and use your turn signal!!! Thank you to all the first responders who helped with this crash!
